Council Meeting

THAT the presentation by the Port Perry BIA Board Members, JoAnne Callery, Marina Brock, Sharon Runnalls, regarding the 2025 Budget, be received; and THAT the 2025 Port Perry Business Improvement Area (BIA) budget be received and approved.

THAT the delegation from Larry Doble, Greenbank Hall and Park Board, regarding the letter of intent request for Greenbank Community Association Agreement, be received; and THAT Report COMS-2025-005, Intent to Lease Request for Greenbank Community Association, be received; and THAT the Director of Community Services and the Chief Administrative Officer complete the negotiation and drafting of a letter of intent for a future lease of the Ianson and Couves Parks with the Greenbank Community Association based on the draft letter of intent form set out in Attachment 1 to Report COMS-2025-005; and THAT the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to execute the final negotiated letter of intent.

THAT the items listed under Section 10, Adoption of Minutes of Previous Meetings, Reports, Correspondence and By-Laws, all be approved and passed under Consent Agenda, save and except items 10.1.4, 10.1.6, 10.2.2, and 10.3.1.

THAT the Minutes of the Council Meeting held January 27, 2025, be adopted.

THAT the General Purpose and Administrative Committee Minutes held February 3, 2025, be adopted.

THAT the Planning and Community Affairs Committee Meeting held February 10, 2025, be adopted.

THAT the Minutes of the Scugog Heritage Advisory Committee Meeting held February 4, 2025 be received for information.

THAT the Minutes of the Tourism Advisory Committee Meeting held February 6, 2025 be received for information; and THAT the Tourism Advisory Committee be permitted to add 3 additional meeting dates in 2025 in order to meet as a working group.

THAT the Township of Scugog’s Fees and Charges By-law 54-24 be amended to include a $250 Election Sign Permit Fee.

THAT the correspondence received from Port Perry Hospital Foundation - Here for You Campaign - Recognizing the Township of Scugog's Support - January 29, 2025 be received for information.

THAT By-Laws 03-23, 04-25, 05-25, 06-25, 07-25, be read and passed this 24th day of February, 2025, and the Mayor and Clerk are hereby directed to sign same and affix the Corporate seal thereto.

THAT By-Law 03-25 be read and passed this 24 day of February, 2025, and the Mayor and Clerk are hereby directed to sign same and affix the Corporate seal thereto.

THAT By-Law 04-25 be read and passed this 24 day of February, 2025, and the Mayor and Clerk are hereby directed to sign same and affix the Corporate seal thereto.

THAT By-Law 05-25 be read and passed this 24 day of February, 2025, and the Mayor and Clerk are hereby directed to sign same and affix the Corporate seal thereto.

THAT By-Law 08-25 confirming the proceedings of the regular meeting of Council held Monday, February 24, 2025, be read and passed this 24th day of February, 2025, and the Mayor and Clerk are hereby directed to sign same and affix the Corporate seal thereto.
