THAT this Council enter into closed session to discuss a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board, in regards to a lease with Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham Scout Hall, pursuant to Section 239(2)(c) of the Municipal Act, 2001.

THAT Council permit Margaret Ayres of Big Brothers Big Sisters North Durham and Ellen Greenough of the Scout Hall Restoration Committee, to attend Closed Session with the purpose of providing their position on the lease agreement between them and the Township of Scugog, be received for information.

THAT this Council rise from Closed Session at 7:04 PM.

THAT the delegation by Margaret Ayres of Big Brothers Big Sisters North Durham and Ellen Greenough of the Scout Hall Restoration Committee, regarding the lease agreement between them and the Township of Scugog, be received for information.

1. THAT the confidential report - CONF-2024-003 - Request for Lease Extension from Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham be received.

1. THAT the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute the Lease Extension and Amending Agreement as extending such agreement from March 31, 2029 contained in Attachment No. 2 for an additional period of April 1, 2029 to March 31, 2030; and

1. THAT Report DEV-2024-006 - Background Report: Study to Enable On-farm Diversified Uses and Agricultural-Related Uses, be received for information.

1. THAT Report FIN-2024-003, 2024 Budget Guideline and Target Report, be received; and 2. THAT a budget target increase of not more than 2.5% for Scugog’s share on the overall tax bill be approved.
