Special Council Meeting

THAT this Council enter into a closed session to discuss labour relations or employee negotiations pursuant to Section 239 (2)(b) and (d) of the Municipal Act, 2001., with respect to negotiations with Firefighter Union and Volunteer Firefighter Remuneration.

THAT Report FIRE-2024-001 - Volunteer Firefighter Remuneration, be received. THAT the volunteer firefighter remuneration contained in FIRE-2017-001 Master Fire Plan Modernization Implementation approved by Council be replaced by Chart #2. THAT volunteer firefighters scheduled on weekend standby receive a daily stipend equivalent to 6 hours at the training rate. THAT volunteer firefighters designated to provide instruction be remunerated for all hours of approved training instruction at a rate equivalent to the 2 nd class firefighter rate identified in Chart #2.

THAT By-Law 07-24 confirming the proceedings of the special meeting of Council held Monday, February 20, 2024, be read and passed this 20 day of February, 2024, and the Mayor and Clerk are hereby directed to sign same and affix the Corporate seal thereto.

THAT this meeting be adjourned.
