Heritage Advisory Committee

THAT the Minutes of the 1st Regular Meeting of the Scugog Heritage Advisory Committee held April 4, 2023 be adopted as amended.

THAT the Heritage Advisory Committee supports Staff to obtain a Heritage Value Statement for the Scugog Shores Museum Village located at 16210 Island Road. AND THAT the funds be provided by donation from the historical society.

THAT the previous motion be amended. THAT the Heritage Advisory Committee support and encourage staff to obtain a Heritage Value Statement for the Scugog Shores Museum Village located at 16210 Island Road in an act to protect and preserve the historical significance of the property.

THAT the Museum Working Group be dissolved as the main scope of the project has been concluded.

THAT the Heritage Advisory Committee requests Mr. Peter Wokral, Heritage Consultant to generate a Heritage Value Statement for the Prince Albert United Church located at 23 Jefferey Street; AND THAT the cost for the Heritage Value Statement be allocated to the Heritage Committee’s 2023 Operating Budget.

THAT this committee requests to meet on a monthly basis save and except during summer recess and December. huge work load

THAT due to the amended regulations for Bill 23 and Bill 108 and the impact this will have on the Heritage Register; the Heritage Committee requests to meet on a monthly basis, save and except during summer recess and the month of December.
