Heritage Advisory Committee

Heritage Committee Meeting #8 Tuesday October 5, 2021 THAT this Committee enter into a Closed Session to discuss the disposition of the Cartwright High School lands, pursuant to section 239(2)(c) of the Municipal Act, 2001.

THAT this Committee re-affirms the Heritage Designation request for Cartwright High School located at 14220 Old Scugog Road, Blackstock Ontario under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act.

THAT the Minutes of the 7th Regular Meeting of the Scugog Heritage Advisory Committee held September 7, 2021, be adopted as circulated.

THAT this Committee requests $7,025.00 for the 2022 Heritage Advisory Committee Operating Budget. AND THAT $30,000.00 be allocated to the 2022 Heritage Grant Program Capital Budget.

THAT this committee asks staff to forward the list of proposed Street Names to the Region of Durham for approval as follows: ASHKEWE, ELLIOTT, LAPLANTE, SNACHE, MARSDEN, BEARE, CAESAR, EWERS, ENSIGN, FLAMINGO, GORESKI, GAMBLE, HALL, MUNDY, RODMAN, YARNOLD AND THAT this committee asks Council to approve the Region of Durham’s approved Street Names as follows: ADAMS, GRAXTON, BATEMAN, HALL, BLONG, HOLDEN, BOWERMAN, LETCHER, COHOON, MACBRIEN, CURRIE, REDMAN, DAYTON, SCOVILLE, FOY, WRIGHT, GAMBLE
