Special Council Meeting

That Report COMS-2020-042 Scugog Stage 3 Recreation and Culture Re-opening Plan, be received for information; That the Stage 3 facilities for sports and recreational fitness activities plan as outlined in COMS-2020-042, be approved; That the Stage 3 meeting rooms, event space and community hall plan as outlined in COMS-2020-042, be approved; That the Stage 3 playground and outdoor fitness equipment plan as outlined in COMS-2020-042, be approved; That the staff be authorized to make revisions to the plans in accordance with Provincial Orders, directives from public health officials and various guidelines, as required; and That the new Certified Parks Attendant position that was approved in the 2020 budget be hired in September to assist with fall park maintenance.

That Report COMS-2020-043, Culvert Replacement and Relining - Contract Award, be received; That the contract for the Culvert Replacement and Relining be awarded to Nick Carchidi Excavating Limited in the amount of $376,990.20 (including taxes); and That additional funding of $101,700.06 be allocated to Capital Account 1919 – Culvert Relining and Replacement from the OCIF Grant.

THAT this Council enter into a closed session to discuss: 1. personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal employees, pursuant to Section 239(2)(b) of the Municipal Act, 2001; and 2. labour relations or employee negotiations, pursuant to Section 239(2)(d) of the Municipal Act, 2001.

THAT By-Law 49-20 confirming the proceedings of the Special Council meeting held Monday, August 24, 2020, be read a First, Second, and Third time and finally passed this 24th day of August, 2020, and the Mayor and Clerk are hereby directed to sign same and affix the Corporate seal thereto.

THAT this meeting be adjourned at 4:18PM.
