Planning and Community Affairs Committee

1. THAT Report DEV-2022-008, Township Initiated Official Plan Amendment (SOP/02/2018) and Zoning By-law Amendment (Z/11/2018) - Cannabis Cultivation and Production Facilities, be received; and 2. THAT staff report back to Council with a recommendation on these applications at the earliest opportunity.

THAT considering the limited amount of available land for residential low and medium density development and affordable housing opportunities, including long term care and retirement living within the Port Perry Urban Area, that Scugog Council reiterate their support for the conversion of a portion of the designated employment lands to Living Area located at 1520, 1540, and 1580 Reach Street.

1. THAT Report DEV-2022-009, Envision Durham – Alternative Land Scenarios Assessment Report, be received; and 2. THAT Report DEV-2022-009 be forwarded to the Region of Durham as the Township of Scugog’s comments on the Alternative Land Scenarios Assessment Report; and 3. THAT considering the limited amount of available land for residential low and medium density development and affordable housing opportunities, including long term care and retirement living within the Port Perry Urban Area, that Scugog Council reiterate their support for the conversion of a portion of the designated employment lands to Living Area located at 1520, 1540, and 1580 Reach Street.
